Overview
The 2026 JPX ONE Hybrid is a forgiving, high-flying rescue club built for control into greens more than raw distance. Testers broadly agree that it launches high and keeps spin up, so the ball comes down steeply and stops on firm greens. It also holds up well on heel and low strikes.
Distance is solid but not class-leading, and the club looks most at home on long approaches and shots off the deck rather than off the tee. Testers liked the soft, muted feel, and the speed bevel sole moves quickly through the turf. Expect a draw bias, which ranges from slight to fairly pronounced.
Opinions differ on the head shape: one tester saw it as compact and iron-like, another as large, and a third called it quirky. Most found spin consistent from shot to shot, but one tester measured a wider spread than the best in the category.
What reviewers like
- High launch and steep descent that hold firm greens
- Forgiving on heel and low strikes
- Soft, solid feel with a muted sound
- Quick, clean turf interaction off the deck
- Consistent carry distances
Watch out for
- Distance is solid rather than standout
- Draw bias may not suit players who fight a hook
- Less effective off the tee than lower-spinning hybrids
- Blue finish may not appeal to everyone
Who it suits
It suits golfers replacing long irons who want an easier, higher-launching club that stops quickly on long approaches. It also fits players who tend to miss right and want a soft-feeling head.
